Comments Marvel Wirth:July 17, 2014 at 4:46 pmWonderful to inform others I have his book! Char Covelesky:November 14, 2015 at 5:25 amMan, sure wish I could afford this! Martha LaFleur:January 19, 2016 at 4:22 pmI'm puzzled. Afford what? To change your diet? You'll probably find you eat more cheaply plant based than animal product based. Unless, like some rapper I read about, you feel you need a personal chef to do this diet; the rapper found the chef too expensive and dropped him along with the plant-based diet. Lost his best chances for better health there. Of course, he MIGHT live to be a hundred and four and never have chronic disease anyway. drmcdougall.com https://www.drmcdougall.com/health/education/free-mcdougall-program/ engine2diet.com eatplant-based.com brandnewvegan.com nutritionfacts.org forksoverknives.com http://www.forksoverknives.com/what-to-eat/ fatfreevegan.com http://www.theveganjunction.com/top-20-plant-based-health-professionals-to-follow/ http://www.amazon.com/How-Not-Die-Discover-Scientifically/dp/1250066115/ref=tmm_hrd_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1453220416&sr=1-1 hardcover http://www.amazon.com/How-Not-Die-Discover-Scientifically-ebook/dp/B00Y7USB14/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1453220416&sr=1-1&keywords=how+not+to+die ebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/874450206005170/ Patti Marron:January 19, 2016 at 5:36 pmMy grocery bill went down dramatically after I went plant based. Veggies are much cheaper than meat, fish, poultry, eggs, etc. and Costco has a fantastic selection of fruits and veggies (and I buy a big bag of brown rice there too). I eat out much less too and that saves a ton of $$$. Patti Marron:January 19, 2016 at 5:49 pmOh, and I forgot to mention that I also save $ on the meds I no longer need to take. Barbara Roe Moore:June 24, 2016 at 10:48 amwhole food plant based no oil is definitely less expensive than the Standard American Diet. Rice and dry beans are some of the cheapest foods available, add some fresh or frozen veggies and/or fruit. Also, less eating out because there aren't a lot of compliant restaurants out there! I have found that most people are just to lazy to do the cooking required to stay compliant. I keep canned beans and veggies for those lazy days... It's so easy to open a can of beans, throw in some baby carrots and some greens (fresh or frozen) and have a bowl of bean and green soup. Not only have I saved money on groceries, but I have eliminated my 5 prescription medications! There is way too much free information on the internet; free info and lectures from doctors, wonderful recipes, and some fantastic support groups on Facebook! Zlaya Raya:June 27, 2016 at 1:35 pmBarbara Roe Moore You hit the nail on the head - laziness. People who find they can't support plant based are those who merely changed out animal-based crap for plant-based crap, like fake meats, cheeses, and dairy such as sour cream and yoghurt. These are the people who get sick and malnourished and then swear that being vegan made them even sicker and go on to speak out against plant-based, even though what they ate was not recognizable by the rest of us who love our starches and veggies.
