Accreditation Statement

In support of improving patient care, this activity is planned and implemented by The National Center Office of Interprofessional Continuing Professional Development (National Center OICPD) and the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. The National Center OICPD is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

As a Jointly Accredited Provider, the National Center OICPD is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. The National Center OICPD maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive continuing education credits.

The National Center OICPD (JA#: 4008105) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers (ATs).

Physicians: The National Center OICPD designates this enduring material course for a maximum of 30 CME AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM through ACCME. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses: This activity is designated for 30 nursing contact hours through ANCC.

Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians: This activity is designated for 30 CPE contact hours through ACPE.

Social Workers: This activity is designated for 30 general social work continuing education credits through ASWB ACE program.

Athletic Trainers: The National Center OICPD (JA#: 4008105) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers (ATs). This program is eligible for a maximum of 30 Category A hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

Registered Dieticians and Dietetic Technicians, Registered: The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) states that it will accept CPE activities that are dietetics-related from all Jointly Accredited Providers, which applies to this course, as the National Center OICPD is a Jointly Accredited Provider. This activity should be logged as Activity Type 102. Questions should be directed to the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Jointly Accredited continuing education credit is available for this course through the National Center OICPD. Please refer to the statement above for the types of credit available. The cost for continuing education credits is $125. This fee is in addition to the total cost of the certificate program and covers processing and administration charges.
NBHWC continuing education credits are free. Our program is approved by the NBWHC for continuing education credit, and students are to self report completion of the program. https://nbhwc.org/

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team. The learners who register for Jointly Accredited continuing education credit will receive Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credit for learning and change. Please contact your individual accrediting agency to request approval for other professional credits.

Students can purchase these credits upon completion of the certificate program.

Please note: registration for these credits requires creating a continuing education user account in an external system (accessed at the end of the program) using your email address and a password. We strongly suggest that you use the same email address and password that you use to log into your Whole Communities account.

Students must do the following to earn credits:

  • Register and pay $125 for CE credits.
  • Complete all program requirements.
  • Complete a post test and evaluation upon completion of the certificate program.

Additional Information:

  • The post test and evaluation take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and must be completed in one sitting.
  • A passing score of 70% or better is required for the post test. The test may be retaken if necessary.
  • Your test scores do not affect the number of hours you are able to earn.

No. Partial credits for completing a portion of the program are not available for any continuing education credits that are offered. Credits can only be earned by completing the entire program.
