Alejandra Parra is a Chilean physician with 13 years of clinical experience. In 2010, she felt a need to break away from her traditional career and decided to take a pause to reconnect and reassess her future path. During this process, she decided to stop consuming animals and became vegan in 2012. She also dedicated herself to study plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine. She is a graduate of the CNS and Cornell Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate program and is Certified in Lifestyle Medicine by the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine, and she is a member of both the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. In 2019, Alejandra founded Salud Verde Medical Center in Viña del Mar, the first center in Chile dedicated to Lifestyle Medicine and where the entire staff follows a plant-based diet.
