lizabeth Zarrella Maglio, MSW, teaches, writes, and saves animals. She spent 25 years in nonprofit leadership positions addressing serious social issues facing children and families, and now she helps others learn about solving these issues. She is passionate about politics, especially lobbying for legislation to protect animal welfare. Her master’s degree in social work and bachelor’s degree in political science serve her well in all of these areas. She’s a co-founder of the Mass Coalition to End Puppy Mills, and launched a nutrition academy and Facebook page: Not Your Average Vegans. She is a graduate the CNS and eCornell Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate program.
