Leila Dehghan, MD, is an Iranian doctor turned personal trainer. She studied medicine at the Medical University of Vienna and worked as a doctor in the UK before quitting for health reasons. Her migraines and her work as a vegan personal trainer led her to study the role of exercise and diet in healing. Inspired by the CNS and eCornell Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate she’s currently pursuing a masters degree in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition at UCL. You can follow her on Facebook and Instagram or visit her website at www.leiladqifit.com.
Would I still be a doctor if I had known the role of nutrition in health and disease? Transitioning to a whole food, plant-based diet put an end to my chronic migraine headaches.
