After graduating with his degree in Environmental Horticulture, Mike Garcia went on to earn his California Landscape Contractor license and Tree Service Contractors license. Garcia founded Enviroscape LA, a full-service landscape design build firm. Enviroscape LA has won awards on the local, state, national, and international levels and has been featured on television and numerous magazines. Garcia has served as a judge for the California Landscape Contractors Association. He is also a certified permaculturist and has been trained in the art of shinrin-yoku (forest bathing). Garcia is a Master certified health coach. His latest passion is designing and building nutrient dense backyard food forests with ponds and vertical sustainable gardens. Garcia is also a founding member of the Manhattan Beach Native Botanical Garden. He has lived a vegan lifestyle for over 15 years and is a former student of the Center for Nutrition Studies Food and Sustainability and Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate programs.
