Sonia Pressman Fuentes was born in Berlin, Germany, from which she fled with her immediate family to escape the Holocaust. In the U.S., she became a co-founder of NOW (National Organization for Women) and the first woman attorney in the Office of the General Counsel at the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.) Currently, she is a community and feminist activist, writer, and public speaker living in Sarasota, FL.
