Project Title: Farm to Fork: Healthy Eating Program Expansion
Project Description: Farm to Fork: Healthy Eating Program Expansion serves small-scale farms and gives underserved populations in northwestern Illinois the opportunity to learn about, support, and participate in local food systems from farm-to-fork programming through the local fifth-grade curriculum. Local farmers markets offer "double dollar" incentives to participants’ families, incentivizing increased fruit and vegetable consumption. Programs are also available to help farmers through the entrepreneurship process.
