Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Dr. Ana M. Negrón is a certified family physician and author of the book Nourishing the Body and Recovering Health: The Positive Science of Food. She owns a nutrition consultation practice, volunteers at The Clinic for the uninsured in Phoenixville, and teaches young doctors the role of food in medicine. Food is integral to her practice, where group cooking is a regular activity. She helps her patients transition to a whole food, plant-based diet to target the root of their illness and reduce the need for medications.
