  • 2 cups unsweetened plant-based milk
  • ¾ cup pure maple syrup or date paste
  • 1 Tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup semi-sweet vegan chocolate chips, finely chopped or flaked


  • 1. Whisk plant-based milk, maple syrup, and vanilla together in a large bowl until combined well.
  • 2. Carefully pour the mixture into the bowl of an automatic ice cream maker, and process according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  • 3. During the last 10 or 15 minutes, add the chopped chocolate, and continue to process until desired texture is achieved. Enjoy immediately, or harden further in freezer for an hour or more.
