This quick and easy oatmeal combines the flavors of banana bread for a naturally-sweet start to your day.

Prep: 5 mins Cook: 10 mins Yield: 1 serving, about 2 cups

Low Sugar Soy Free

Ingredients

½ cup rolled oats
1 banana, cut in bite size pieces
2 dates, chopped
½ tsp cinnamon
1 cup water
1 Tbsp walnuts

Instructions

1. Combine the oats, banana, dates, cinnamon and water in a small pot.
2. Cover and simmer for 3-4 minutes, until the oats are creamy.
3. Top with walnuts and serve.

Cooking Tips

1. You can also microwave this recipe for 2-3 minutes.
2. To avoid boiling over, stir every 20-30 seconds.
3. Not into bananas? Try this with peaches, pears, or plums.
