Indira Riera is a renowned dancer and athlete. Being the daughter of a devoted vegetarian and a professional chef, from a very young age she was exposed to a variety of delicious plant-based dishes. As a result, Riera learned as a child to treat her body like a temple. As a dancer and choreographer, Riera shared stages with stars such as Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Pitbull, Víctor Manuel, Wisín & Yandel, Paulina Rubio and Carlos Vives. She also participated in national live shows such as the Latin Grammys and the Latin Billboards. Since dancing requires staying in shape and leading a healthy lifestyle, she became vegan in 2017. Indira became certified by the prestigious National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and as a health and wellness coach at the Integrative Nutrition Institute. Her delicious and informative workshops called “Flirting with Veganism” usually pack the house throughout Puerto Rico. These workshops (also available online) include cooking classes, as well as delicious recipes, survival tips, and monthly challenges which serve as an introduction to this lifestyle that goes far beyond just losing weight. In addition to her training and workshops, Indira has become a bodybuilder. Her awards include two silver medals in the open bikini and rookie bikini division at the prestigious Steve Karr Classic in Las Vegas, presented by the National Bodybuilding Committee.
