In 2010 Nara Schuler adopted a plant-based lifestyle after a Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis. She is a former student of the Culinary Skills Program in Durham College Oshawa, Ontario, Canada and the CNS and eCornell Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate. She is also the author of Secrets of My Vegan Kitchen and is currently producing a TV show in Portuguese promoting the benefits of a whole food, plant-based diet.
