Ingredients

  • 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ¼ cup beets, shredded
  • ¼ cup carrots, shredded
  • 1 Tbsp Italian herbs
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  • 1. In a medium saucepan combine all the ingredients, except the basil.
  • 2. Bring to a low boil.
  • 3. Cook for 10 minutes.
  • 4. Add basil and serve.

Cooking Tips

  • 1. Serve this marinara sauce with pasta or use in any recipe that calls for Italian red sauce.
