This authentic Mexican salsa is incredibly easy to make and filled with light, fresh ingredients. Pile it on top of tostadas, tacos, beans, rice, burritos, baked potatoes, or tortilla chips!

Prep: 10 mins Yield: 6-8 portions

Gluten Free Low Sugar Nut Free Raw Soy Free

Ingredients

5 - 6 Roma tomatoes, diced
¼ white onion, finely chopped
5 - 7 sprigs of cilantro, finely chopped
1 jalapeño pepper, finely chopped (optional)
1 lime, juiced
1 - 4 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Mix all the ingredients in a container.
2. Refrigerate and serve cold.

Cooking Tips

1. Adjust ingredients according to your taste.
2. You can use other types of tomatoes, just make sure they are not too ripe. You want them to be firm to the touch.
3. You can use other types of peppers or omit them completely.
