Chickpea Tenders With Flaxseeds

What You'll Need


1 can of chickpeas

¼ tsp of black pepper

½ tsp of cumin

½ tsp of curry powder

¼ tsp of cayenne pepper

¼ tsp of chilli powder or paprika

2 Tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce

1 tsp of garlic, minced

1 heaping Tbsp of nutritional yeast

½ Tbsp of salt-free poultry seasoning

¼ tsp of onion powder

¼ cup of ground golden flax seed


How to Make It


1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

2 Add all the ingredients to a food processor (or use a potato masher) and process (or mash) until mixed. You should get a crumbly consistency with everything combined.

3 Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

4 Shape the mixture into tenders or nuggets.

5 Bake until extra crispy for 20-22 minutes, flipping gently halfway through.

6 Let them cool a bit before serving.

Cooking Tips

They go great with ketchup, barbeque sauce, and many other favorite condiments.

Increase the cayenne pepper to ½ tsp if you like it really spicy, warning they'll be hot!

You can make a large batch of these fingers ahead of time and freeze them.
