Broccoli with Mustard Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of broccoli
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • 1 tsp stone ground or Dijon-style mustard
  • 1 garlic clove pressed or minced

Instructions

  • 1. Break the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Peel the woody stem and slice the softer stem inside into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
  • 2. Steam until just tender, about 5 minutes. While the broccoli is steaming, whisk the dressing ingredients together in a serving bowl.
  • 3. Add the steamed broccoli and toss to mix.
  • 4. Serve immediately.

  • 1. Broccoli stems are delicious and nutritious. Peel and cook them along with the broccoli, or use them raw in salads for delicious, crunchy texture.
